The Digital Photo Capture and Lineup System or "MUGS" is designed
for Police agencies to capture digital pictures of criminal
suspects. These photos along with the suspects physical characteristics
are used to generate Police lineups. The digital lines are less
traumatic to the victim since the actual suspect is not present
at the time of viewing. Additionally an agency can provide additional
photos for viewing based on the suspects general physical characteristics.
These digital photos can also be shared with other agencies
or emailed to news and media for wanted posters.
